As a figurative painter I work to capture some level of psychological characterization or insight for each of the figures I paint. As viewers look at my work, I hope they are encouraged to consider the twists and turns of the human condition. Ideally my paintings will generate questions about our inner lives, our personal connections with others, and the contradictory experiences that drive our search for meaning.
