I’ve been a found object assemblage artist, jeweler and maker of things all my life. My medium has changed throughout the years and included basketry, weaving, jewelry fabrication, painting, assemblage, and collage.

My current work explores abstract expressionism with paint and collage. Materials include acrylic paint, paper, pastels, graphite and the other mark making materials. It’s a playful expression of unconscious process through gestural expression, color interplay, collage and stream of consciousness mark making and layering. It’s fluid and ever evolving. Each piece is an attempted balance between spontaneity and careful consideration, chaos and order, abstraction, and representation. I am the hand that creates, yet each piece has a mind of its own. I try not to get in the way.
