In his studio, Mark Wharton creates in clay, steel, and wood.

Having taught and worked in various studios, he finds inspiration from other artists and the studio’s location. Whether the Desert Southwest or the Pacific Northwest, these places and experiences provide a visual spark to Mark’s work.

Making art in a variety of mediums intrigues him. His pottery ranges from coffee mugs and platters to stoneware and raku art pieces. Coffee and end tables, candle wall sconces, steel figures, and yard art are also examples of his signature pieces. Mark’s work is constantly evolving.
